Yagmur Fuarcilik General Manager Yüksel Kaya speaking at the opening ceremony of IPAF 2007 which one of the two big fairs in related sector mentioned that, even though the fair was completed in 1997 with the participation of 68 companies in an closed area of 3000m2, by growing ten times in 2007 got an closed area of 25.000 m2. Yüksel Kaya continued as follows, “beginning with the participation of 68 companies, IPAF fair today got more than 600 participants from 34 countries. Percent 80 of outer country participants consist of machine, equipment and raw material producer European and Far East investors. This is quite a big success which we got along 10 years. I thank to everybody who contributed to this success by their efforts”.
Plastic and packaging emerges synergy…
Pointing out the link between plastic and packaging sectors Yagmur Fuarcilik General Manager Yüksel Kaya informed these, “These two sectors, by telescoping each other with shared production technologies and intermediate materials target visitors and customers from the same area. Percent 40 of packaging materials which being produced in Turkey are from plastic materials. Especially bottles, drums, caps, buckets, boxes which taking place in rigid packaging group; stretch films, pressed and unpressed packaging, laminated packaging which used in flexible packaging causes to thermoplastics and plastic processing technologies come to the first stage. These companies produces plastic components which being used as intermediate products in cosmetic, detergents, food, white goods, construction, heating, cooling areas, in their structures. This means that the targeted mass and customers of plastic machine producers and raw material suppliers' not just plastic companies but also whole sectors”.
